No, this one alternates with a dash, so it`s Canadian, 50 watts from Delta MB. DXinfocentre.com shows 16 U- Cubans, but all ``decommissioned`` except 250 in Habana - Playa Baracoa, UBP with 80 watts. Not even heard here. As in my previous compilation of Caribeacons, classaxe.com shows two still logged in Jan or Feb this year, 250 UBP and 339 UAH Santiago, and three more in 2020; but many more are not darkened yet. It`s dominant until I change to the R75 on E-W longwire where it`s mixing with talk in English, got to be K`KOB or WABC. Would have expected closest and strongest 770 XEACH Monterrey, but soon confirmed that be still with rival network Radio Fórmula - but why nothing of it: is XEACH off or emigrated? Searching on W Radio network site, cannot find any affiliate list but one other hit is promising: https://www.facebook.com/wradiomx/ ``(W) RADIO llega a ZACATECAS 770`` WRTH 2021 also has this: ``ZC08 XEFRTM 770 25/1 Fresnillo F.Pl.`` 2020 IRCA Mexican log has four 770s, including this one on W network: ``XEFRTM Zacatecas Fresnillo 10000 1000 Transmisiones Mik VAR W [net] new station to replace XEIH which has finished moving to FM. Reported testing 7/20`` XEFRTM first appeared in DXLD 17-29 of July 19, 2017 as Raymie was discussing new concessions, this one leading to a Nissan dealership in Fresnillo illustrated with a streetview. In my log now, I have not heard Zacatecas or Fresnillo mentioned; plugged into XEW-900 net feed which is more QRMed and not necessarily //. 900 Doble-U appears to be mainly talk, but may have an English-musical subnetwork, as on XEWA 540? Or ``VAR`` encompass everything. Fresnillo is 1541 km = 958 stmi from Enid. But would seem uncomfortably close to Monterrey NL for two co-channel stations, 375 km = 233 st mi apart. On October 27, 2020, IRCA Mexican Log editor Tim Hall reported: ``XEFRTM-770 Fresnillo, Zacatecas (replacement for the widely-heard XEIH which moved to FM several years ago) is reportedly on the air with 25 kW and W Radio programming via some kind of a lease agreement. Slogan is apparently W Radio Zacatecas. The W Radio network has seemingly not yet created individual web sites for their newer stations like XEQRMD-1310 and XEFRTM-770. Not unusual for at least one of their Noblejas transmitters to be AWOL for days; 11940 for S America is JBA at 2302, can`t tell if really English; nothing on 12030 either, the ME frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN [and non]. 9690, REE frequency for N America, is still down - nothing at 2203 check March 8 tho Europe propagates e.g. 9420 Greece. There are signals from the other three Noblejas transmitters, 12030, 11940 and even 11685, always the weakest for Africa vs RTTY 11687.5, presumably NAU Puerto Rico. So another token English broadcast is likely missed for us at 2300-2330 Monday but not checked then. However, by 0154 UT March 9 at Bonaire TWR SDR, 11940 thataway is S8-S9, nothing on 9690 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 9690, March 9 at 2349, another day of REE North American transmitter missing, no signal to S Miami SDR, but audible on 11940, 12030. March 10 at 0126 direct check, 11940 is OK, but still no 9690, just splatter from 9700 Cuba. If 9690 still AWOL on Wednesday, maybe we can hear token English at 2300 on some of the others (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN. 9690, March 10 at 2006, REE reactivated after missing this frequency for almost a week, S9/+10; so, good prospect for token English at 2300 W/F/M; now it`s a silly ballgame in Spanish. Yes, at 2309, guitar-singers featured by Justin Coe on VG S9+10 into Bonaire. Pedro Sedano sends planned A-21 sked showing 9690 replaced by 17855 for North America, total span 1400/0200. Should be good over daypaths, but much lower needed over nightpaths, like 9690. Wolfgang Bueschel shows alternative version, changing to 9690 at 2200; we hope (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SWEDEN [and non]. 6200, March 7 at 0002, JBA carrier to Bonaire SDR, surely not ROCV Venezuela; Radio Nord Revival, Sala, Sweden is supposed to start a 47/48 hour special anniversary show now with 10 kW on A3H = reduced carrier USB. 0010 I try UTwente which is slightly better, trace of music? but can`t find it USB only. Probably Tibet which is on 6200 about 21 hours a day. Nord alternative frequencies publicized are inadvisable now either: 6035 next to huge Spanish 6040; 6130 also probably weak Tibet. Why were they given Tibet-clashing channels? To be in Swedish except a couple spans partly in English as I point out on WORLD OF RADIO 2076: Sunday at 05-07 and 11-12; Monday at 20-21 UT. See: http://radionordrevival.blogspot.com/ for full schedule, QSL info (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SWEDEN. 6200, 6130, 6035, March 7 at 0503, no signals on publicized or alternate frequencies for R. Nord Revival, Sala, tuning via Carnow, Ireland SDR; still nothing at 0543. There was conflicting info whether to start at 0000, or 0500 with two hours partly in English. Possibly on now but above pre-sunrise MUF. Not expecting anything direct either but final check here at 0654 gets nothing. Supposed to last until 23 UT Monday March 8, or 24? So plenty more chances to try. Many further reports overnight to the WOR iog: Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain, March 7: ``Hi Glenn, nothing on all the three frequencies here in Lugo, checking between 0545 to 0700. Off after 1600 clearing frequency for CODAR only. 11550, March 9 at 1556, similar good signal S9-S6 in Korean, still past 1600, i.e. RFA Korean via SAIPAN, NMI until 1900 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 5960, March 5 at 2259, VP signal from VOT, but the 4+1 or was it 5+1 timesignal cuts thru, ending late at 2300:03.5. Nord Revival, Sweden special, zilch. VOT IS keeps playing until 0500 and then opening Malay! which is supposed to go eastward on 17530. VG S9 signal continues on 6125 past 0545, so the whole hour is going out on the wrong frequency, wrong beam, as Bandung SDR is getting nothing on 17530 at 0515. But it must really be the usual occupant of 417, IY, ../-.-- Charles City, Iowa which I have not noted miskeying before. A visit for maintenance and checking things, so apparently going back south soon. Last/this week there was a wind storm; when it`s 20, 30 or 40 mph [? not much for an OKie], the Ampegon rotatable antenna has to be parked and closed down. Tho it`s anything but solid, all its metal wires, parts add up to a wind load. I wonder if parking position depend on which way the wind be blowing. Said the wind kept the rotatable antenna on the superstation from turning properly so they shut the transmitter down till the wind stopped. Allan says they're just in Maine for a visit and was complaining about the extra clothes and the colder temps in Maine this week. Said it was 22 today {high}. Quickly turned political and they talked of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head again, the Land of Lakes Indian, the Coca Cola polar bear etc. Masks, the election, voting, the virus, China, our beloved Trump, the fact that he won the election, any praise for the response to the virus or the appearance of the virus is because of Trump etc. Angela ended it by saying that was her Angela's Angle for this week. Allan mentioned another problem with something that burned up on one of the transmitters but I didn't catch what it was. He also said it was time to talk about radio and Angela started in with another political rant. Allan finally started reading an article about the current status of radio and the effect of the pandemic on ad revenue. Signal on 7490 went to hell about 0130. Reading of emails at 0154. Its night pattern is supposed to be circular skewed SW into the Gulf; day pattern two tight lobes to north and SSE; or is it on ND STA? We`ve had WWBA QRMing WBAP before, even with same programming echoing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1030 kHz, March 10 at 0145 UT, Mexmx dominating, Spanish ad with an 866-tollfree number, more music. First, to rule out KCTA Corpus Christi semi-Spanish but religious: this one loops E/W, not N/S, but therefore is still Unitedstatesian. 0149 ID by SHVA = super-hype voice-actor so beloved of macho stations -- which is a needed standard abbr. in DXing I have been glad to coin --- mentioning 97.3 FM among others. Mostly dominant but some fades down as KCWJ MO in English fades up with its frequent IDs such as at 0153, 0216. My first guess for Spanish E/W is WGSF Memphis TN, U12! 50/1 kW, 24h as Radio Ambiente per NRC AM Log, but no group and no FM listed; heard before. And where is our closest 1030, KFAY Farmington AR, English news/talk U4 6000/1000? 0156, Mexmx is back up, 0200 fade for ToH ID, natch; 0211 non-IDs for two FMs: 99.1 and 97.3. Ajá, that clinches it thanks to Grp info in the NRC AM Log for one of the few other SS on 1030: WNOW, Mint Hill (Charlotte) NC! which is a 9400-watt DAYTIMER, and it`s direxional, circle tangent west aimed right at us. Its Group at the bottom of page 296 is ``La Zeta`` including a 1060 station and mere translators on those very two FM frequencies: W247CV on 97.3, and W256BP on 99.1. I never copied ``La Zeta`` nor any call letters nor any cities, but this circumstantial info make me totally positive. Per WTFDA FMDB, 99.1 is licensed to Charlotte itself, 97.3 to Monroe NC. Mint Hill is on the east side of Charlotte just inside the I-485 ring. Monroe is further out to the SE, halfway to SC. Recheck at 0257-0302 UT, no more WNOW, just KCWJ including at 0300, ``Real Country 1030-AM, KCWJ, Blue Springs ---``. Both NRC AM Log and RER`s own affiliate reference https://www.redeyeradioshow.com/red-eye-radio-affiliates/ show the only 1040 is WYSL Avon NY, 20000/500 watts; hmm, I wonder which power now? Just south of Rochester across I-90, 1864 km = 1158 st mi from Enid (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) OR NOT! ::: ** U S A. 1040, re `Red Eye Radio` heard under WHO must be the only RER affiliate listed, WYSL, Avon NY --- the following may be more likely, from Greg Hardison on the WOR iog: ``"``Red Eye Radio``, the competing slightly more rational? national talkshow..." --- I believe WHBO is carrying this also on 1040 with a 24 hr ND signal under STA; I've noticed the RER website is somewhat pitifully non-updated in its allegations of affiliates listed. RER is indeed about as "rational" as blind, deaf, dumb, mindlessly unquestioning obsequious groveling worship of Trump ever gets.`` WHBO is in Pinellas Park FL, when not STA, nominally U2 3600/420 watts, per NRC AM Log, NWS/tlk, only net shown with WW1. But RER is part of Westwood One, as on their program schedule https://www.newstalkflorida.com/radio-lineup/ at 1-5 am weekdays, 1-6 am weekends - EST, soon shifting to EDT = 05-09 & 05-10 UT respectively. Supposedly only 105 watts per: Letter from FCC on file dated February 19, 2021: ``This is in reference to the request filed on February 11, 2021. Genesis has requested a further extension of the STA granted on August 28, *2006*, as modified to continue operating ND at night with reduced power to allow time to file the required FCC Form 301 application to propose a new two tower nighttime array (due to the past removal of one of the nighttime towers).1 In support of the request, Genesis stated that it plans to file the application to propose a new nighttime two tower directional antenna pattern within the next 30 days. [...] Accordingly, the request for extension of the STA IS HEREBY GRANTED, and Genesis may continue to operate ND at night with a maximum of 0.105 kW using the daytime site tower, with no change to the licensed daytime operation. Well at least this post-sunset daytimer is not off-frequency and not modulating: two out of three, how bad is that? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1540, March 4 at 0402 UT, Bob Smoak asked on the ABDX group, ``I'm getting a low pitched heterodyne on 1540 in Bamberg, SC. Any ideas where it might be coming from?`` My first response was KGBC Galveston TX on 1539.96 as I`ve heard repeatedly. His receiver could not tell whether it was plus or minus. When I tuned in myself at 0707-0715 UT, I found a carrier on 1540.210, and so had Mauno Ritola via a remote. Could not hear any modulation on it and hard to DF, but not KGBC which was weaker on the minus side. At 0726, KGBC had gospel-huxtering in Spanish and there`s a third station with Mexican music, presumed KEDA San Antonio. I`m on it again the next night from 0322 UT March 5: 1540.21 carrier is there again and now I can DF it to WNW/ESE. Possibilities are daytimers or peanut-powers at night, starting with 10 kW WTBI near Bob in Pickens SC; KDYN Ozark AR; WKVQ Eatonton GA; WKXG Greenwood MS. No others really fit the DF axis somewhat south of due east, and nothing at all somewhat north of due west. When it`s nulled, Mexmx is dominant, presumed KEDA with live DJ and frequent CST timechex, but I can`t catch any IDs or local references. Also at times looping further CCW, KGBC gospanish, at 0330 plugging a phone in the 254 area code which is around Waco, not Houston. KXEL Waterloo IA 50 kW not really a factor until a bit of English talk at 0346; northerly propagation diminished. May be cause of SAH about 5 Hz vs KEDA? Finally at 0401 amid the Spanish, a canned English ID for ``99.9 FM serving San Antonio, Texas``. So Wayne won`t have to remind me, that`s K260CC, as on page 299 of the NRC AM Log, part of the Group: Radio Jalapeño. Only a minute later at 0402, live DJ pronounces KEDA in Spanish as well as Radio Jalapeño, and plugs a 55th-annivesary event for the station on March 13-14, with an address, and social-distancing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 1540.21, March 6 circa 0730 UT, trace of a carrier here but not outstanding like last two nights; confusing to the ear as there are more carriers off 1540.000 including one circa 1540.02 and the usual 1539.96 = KGBC. See my previous report about KGBC and KEDA as well as the mystery, which has been discussed further in the ABDX group: ``Heterodyne on 1540`` ``I don't think the original reporter mentioned if the het was on the low or high side. Strongest station is on 1539.998 to the WNW (KXEL). 1539.998 tops the channel when KXEL is nulled. That one is Bahamas. Rick S., Rodanthe NC OBX FM25go`` IRCA March 5: ``Walter Salmaniw 4:44am #18219 --- Again I can hear the het quite well in Victoria and see a relatively strong carrier on 1540.203 tonight, as well as others quite a ways off channel on 1540.023 and 1539.908. As on 1350, there are a LOT of carriers spaced closer to the nominal. The 1540.2 channel is near audio into Victoria. 73, Walt`` That`s really far. In western USA the only 1540s are the big one in LA CA, 50 kW KMPC in Korean, also ethnic KXPA 5 kW Bellvue WA near Walt, and KASA Phoenix AZ, 19 watts of ranchera at night. March 6 at 2329 on ABDX, Rich: ``I have it on 1540.205 but can’t make it out. Seems to be WSW. But here’s what’s weird. Perhaps Bob in Bamberg SC original reporter can tell if it`s NW from Greenville or West from Eatonton. 73, (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1540.213V approx., slightly wavering carrier here hetting 1540.0 signals, March 8 at 0524 UT. Also others such as 1539.96 presumed KGBC. Identity of the 1540.2 signal discussed further: ``It may be WKQV 1540 in Eatonton, GA. I live in the Atlanta metro area. Although I don’t typically travel ESE of Atlanta in the direction of Eatonton, GA (south of Madison, GA), I was in Loganville, GA on Sunday afternoon 7 March from 1900 to 2100 UT. Loganville is a little closer to Eatonton than my home location and in the (theoretical) deep fringe of the station WKQV ground wave. I could definitely detect a steady (not fading) het on 1540 on my car radio. No audio detected just the distorted het. Considering the sale of the station for $10 recently to a Rev preacher, the financial situation at the station would not be stellar which could result in the disrepair of the transmitter. - Harry Smith, Buford, GA`` WOR iog More from Harry at 2027 UT March 8: ``I have been tuning in to 1540 since 1900 UT and the station causing the het is modulating! It is a gospel format but no station ID heard at 2000 UT. I am able to hear it at my home location now and also on the Woodstock, GA KiWiSDR where I approximate the center frequency to be about 1540.195 kHz. I have confirmed that the gospel music on 1540.195 kHz does not correspond with the live webstream of WTBI 1540 in Picken, SC. The gospel music programming on 1540.195 kHz does not correspond to WOGR in Charlotte, NC. WBIN in Tennessee is apparently off the air on 1540 kHz. So it looks like the gospel music programming coming from the 1540.195 kHz might be WKVQ in Eatonton, GA. Further monitoring at 2025 UT shows a very slow fades at my home location of Buford, GA and at the Woodstock, GA KiWiSDR location for the signal at 1540.195 kHz as if the skywave is fading with the ground wave signal. - Harry Smith, Buford, GA`` ``Listening here as well as on several online SDRs points to SE US location, probably GA or SC. MD, VA, NC receivers had somewhat better signals than here. Just a weak het on the Rockport, ME, the Edinburgh, IN, and the Key West, FL KiwiSDR sites. So I think we're zoomed in on the Carolinas, GA, TN, AL. 0500 and 0600 UTC / 6 MAR checks produced no definitive top-of-hour ID material, just back to back Black Gospel vocals. The three normal 1540 stations here - ZNS, CHIN, KXEL - are all within 20 Hz of 1540.0 nominal. Mark Connelly, WA1ION | South Yarmouth, MA | FN41vq``, IRCA iog. Covering their slow white choir gospel music and preaching with the loop aimed north. JBA signal in the WTBI null (WKVQ?, WOGR?), and the het decreases sharply when WTBI is nulled. Will try again at 1700 (12 noon local) as daytime skywave still strong here at 10:10 AM local with WCKY 1530 kHz Cincinnati pinning the meter with Mike Greenburg ESPN show and WVON 1690 kHz [Chicago] still in with talk of the George Floyd trial. With those conditions a bit surprised I hear no audio in the WTBI null, but BFO indicates another carrier. Brock Whaley Aiken, SC, Palomarloop, phaser for cardioid pattern, tunable pre-amp, R-1000`` And from Brock later, March 8: ``The 1540 heterodyne at approx. 1540.200a kHz peaks and nulls to the east of me [must mean west --- gh]. Towards the direction of WKVQ Eatonton, GA. And in the WTBI Pickens null. On the waterfall it is severely under modulated, if not just running dead air. The sidebands on WTBI are much more robust and it is centered at 1540.015. Their daytime groundwave has a fair signal here. This at 1700-1800 (12 noon-1 PM local). The residual skywave I mentioned earlier (WCKY etc.) is gone and the SDR allows for much better frequency identification and investigation than the R-1000. Of course, WKVQ is a daytimer, but could this be the one? It's been known to happen. Brock Whaley Aiken, SC, Palomar loop, ANC-4, tunable pre-amp, SDR Play (used here), and many more`` (Glenn Hauser, WOR) It looks like Harry and Brock have got it as WKVQ. Another reply March 8 on the WOR iog, from the bearings may be something completely different: ``The carrier was visible on my Airspy HF+ Discovery all night here in the Rochester, NY area, at about 1540.215. Here the dominant station is KXEL in Waterloo, Iowa. CHIN-1540, across Lake Ontario in Toronto, is only barely audible or even visible on the display at times, as I am in its deepest null. I thought it might be WSIV out of Syracuse, NY at 57 watts (if they are even on the air), but the signal disappeared totally after sunrise. I tried a little DFing with my YouLoop and it seems to peak at a WSW direction, possibly about 250 degrees. Of course it might be 180 from that at 70 degrees too - WXEX, New Hampshire?, but at only 3 watts? I don't think so, as the heterodyne at times is "somewhat" strong and varies only 10-20 dB down from KXEL's signal. I don't believe it to be a spur from KXEL itself, as the carrier level varies differently from KXEL during fade ups and downs. A mystery. I'll check again tonight. Bill [desertbilly]`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. Re: [WOR] Heterodyne on 1540 --- ``Mystery finally solved! The station at 1540.195 kHz as monitored from the KiWi SDR in Woodstock, GA and confirmed at my home location in Buford, GA is in fact WKVQ in Eatonton, GA. I actually heard a station ID at just past 1900 UT on 9 March with someone in between Gospel songs announcing "WKVQ ...1540 on your AM dial...Eatonton". WKVQ as monitored on KiWi SDR in Woodstock, Georgia USA, 1540.195 kHz SDR center, Sync Upper Sideband mode, waterfall/spectrum capture, and audio of ID at 1900 UT on 9 March 2021: https://youtu.be/GvV0csFz5TM - Harry Smith, Buford, GA`` [and non] Here`s something else? on the IRCA iog: ``Rob Keeney 2:31 am #18357 --- I've got a weak carrier showing on 1540.209 tonight on an approx bearing of 108° from Harker Heights TX, which is much farther south than what Fred is talking about. Rob Keeney, Harker Heights TX, Airspy HF+ Discovery, YouLoop, XHDATA D-808 barefoot`` H.H. is a 26K suburb of Killeen, not even indexed in regular Atlas, i.e. near Waco and Temple, north of Austin. 108 degrees from there misses USA entirely, between Florida and Cuba, across Hispaniola, St. Vincent, skims the NE coast of Brasil. Any 1540s around there? None in Caribbean but plenty in Brasil, a few in the nordeste. BTW, WRTH 2021 page 554 shows Bahamas 1540 ZNS as in Freeport instead of Nassau. 810 is the one in Freeport, page 93 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. Am glad to see that ondemand access to the superb CBS Sunday Morning has been restored to proper funxion: On March 6 I check the current/most recent one of Feb 28: https://www.cbsnews.com/sunday-morning/ A single full file plays straight thru with all commercials removed, totaling just over 62 minutes. One may also play individual segments linked just below if desired. I haven`t tried to retrieve older episodes, whether the same options apply (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. NEWS NATION on WGN America has undergone a revamp. It started a few months ago as 3 hours of straight news, 7 nights a week, at 01-04 UT, and then played back at 04-07. We welcomed it since CNN and MSNBC are mostly opinion even tho we agree with most of it. CNN Headline News long ago was a lost cause, anything but, rather tabloid stuff too tacky for CNN itself. Altho HQ in Chicago, WGN is supposedly drawing on the newsrooms and talent of dozens of NexStar stations around the country --- including KFOR in OKC, which is obliged to promote NN to the detriment of its own primetime; but have never seen any news from KFOR on the network; and seldom if ever any individual station input identified by name. Tho I have hardly watched it religiously and completely. Anyhow, now they`ve added an hour-interview show instead of 3 hours of different news --- a lot easier and less expensive to produce and fill time, Banfield --- on March 7 guest Bryan Cranston; and another different hour, The Donlon Report --- not sure what that`s about. News blox reduced to two hours. Total span expanded, and weekends now differ: All times UT, for standard time; no doubt to shift one UT hour earlier next week from March 14 for DST in order to pretend to be at the same local time --- except in AZ and HI, tough luck. M-F 2300-0800 UT Tue-Sat NEWS NATION EARLY EDITION/PRIME except: BANFIELD 03-04 & 07-08; DONLON 00-01 & 04-05 UT Sun & Mon 0000-0600 NEWS NATION PRIME except: BANFIELD 02-03 & 05-06. Just another cable network which market forces? have forced into something other than its original specialized concept. If successful, however, we anticipate NN expanding into even more of WGN America time replacing tired old binge reruns, infomercials. It would have been nice to tune in cable channel 85 here at any time day or night and expect hard rolling news coverage. O, here`s how their website describes the new shows: ``At 10pm ET, you're looking to exhale. Ashleigh provides that respite while still informing and entertaining. Watch big-name A-list celebrities, newsmakers and public figures for a unique opportunity to talk for an hour. No debates. No shouting over each other. A conversation. ``Joe Donlon taps into a common sense point of view when it comes to the most pressing and interesting issues and stories of the day... something that seems to have been lost in the reach for right vs. left on our competitors.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VENEZUELA. 7500-AM, March 7 at 1800 tune-in, Spanish ID by YL for 93.7 FM, lively tropical music. At 1809 promo for ``Radio Venezuela 93.7 FM, así suena``, and more like it frequently. automated at every break between tunes. After 1830 starts to sound distorted. still going OK at 1937. 93.7 in El Tigre was ROCV`s original program source when it appeared early October on 6906. 7500 is not USB or LSB, but AM, S4-S5 into Bonaire SDR at midday, carrier offset varying slightly +7/10 Hz. Tnx to March 7 WOR iog tip via ``Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain, VENEZUELA, 7500 kHz, R. O. C. V., El Tigre, according with a whatsapp from the station R. O. C. V. is testing now, 1450 UTC on this frequency. Weak signal, fair carrier via remote receiver in Bonaire``. It had last been on 6200, but off air for several weeks. We are still awaiting any sign of legality, licensing for this on SW, such as a YV- callsign. OTOH it seems that callsigns are not applied to 93.7; their disgraced FB includes a Feb 18 notice about off air due to electricity problems, and lots of grafix: https://www.facebook.com/104634747994178/photos/a.134911588299827/243374430786875/?type=3&theater Same on Dec 25 and Oct 24! Is there anything there about a SW relay? Not that I have found. Another with a girl finger-framing a heart over her left breast. BTW, the Bonaire SDR waterfall shows it suffering from noise peaks about every 65 kHz, e.g. 7475, 7540, fortunately with our 7500 falling between them (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VENEZUELA. 7500, March 8 at 0033, JBA carrier direct, presumed new frequency of ROCV which I heard 6 hours earlier via Bonaire remote. Looks like a good choice for lack of broadcast QRM. Aoki shows nothing but 28 minutes a week from KTWR, 1217-1245 Sundays only in Japanese. But slightly more in EiBi adding nearby utes: 7499 0000-2400 ALG Algerian Military ALE ALG 7499 2335-2400 CLA Voice of Tibet TB FE /TJK 7500 2335-2400 CHN CNR1 Jammer/Firedrake M FE 7500 1215-1245 Su GUM KTWR Trans World Radio J J m 7500 1245-1316 Su GUM KTWR DIGITAL J J m 7503 0000-2400 CHN Chinese Military ALE CHN (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VENEZUELA [non]. 7500, March 9 at 0148, zero signal into Bonaire SDR from ROCV. Was yesterday its only test day? Not on ex-6906 nor ex-6200 either. What be next? 7495, I do notice however, some language S7 aside 7500. EiBi shows it`s VOA Radio Ashna in Pashto to Afghanistan via KUWAIT (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VENEZUELA. 6205, March 9 at 1915-1925, weak S4 open carrier into Bonaire SDR, ROCV testing another frequency; via WOR iog: ``Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain. VENEZUELA, 6205, R. O. C. V., El Tigre, according with a whatsapp from the station, R. O. C. V is testing right now on 6205 with only carrier, later will test audio, music, 60 watts power. Checking via SDR Kiwi remote receiver in Bonaire, 1535, 09-03, fair carrier, no audio`` Audio-visually, without BFO on Bonaire, nor on waterfall, not noticeably different from S4 band noise level. But also audible & visible are local Bonaire S5 noise peaks circa 6215 and 6150, and more ~65 kHz above and below. ROCV too weak to register any frequency offset. By 0224 UT March 10 check on my own rx, a JBA carrier which I can measure as 6205.022. What`s next? Likely to confront Europirate and other QRM here.
